Clutha Health First engaged Walsh & Beck to review the ways in which they communicate with the community and to make improvements in this process.


Gaining understanding

Our team employed a range of research techniques to gather information including talking to over 120 public, staff and community stakeholders about their communications needs, the kinds of information they required, how they prefer to access information and what is important in a healthcare provider.  The knowledge gained from this research formed the resulting communications strategy, detailing the organisation’s objectives, key messaging and marketing activities, including a detailed implementation plan and timeline.


Evolving a brand

As part of the communication strategy the decision was made to evolve the Clutha Health First brand, providing a cohesive brand that better represented all facets of the organisation. One of the most critical aspects of this project was the management of the roll out which included replacing all printed materials, security tags, website, advertising and signage – on time and on budget. The new look Clutha Health First was launched to staff and the board prior to being launched publicly.

“We wanted a simple, well-designed brand that embodied the friendly, professional image we have in the community”, Clutha Health First CEO Ray Anton says.


Window to the world

As the ‘shop window’ of Clutha Health First the website was a key component of the rebrand. Working with Logic Studio, Walsh & Beck built a new responsive website that works on a range of devices.

“The new site is easy to navigate and allows patients to book appointments, pay online and includes information on all of the services and support that we are able to provide”, Anton says.

Site specific imagery

Clutha Health First invested in shooting a suite of site specific, professional images of services, staff and patients that now supports all of their marketing material and website.


Self-sustaining marketing

Our team developed a comprehensive band ‘toolkit’ for Clutha Health First to enable them to manage their branding requirements going forward. This simple system allows the CHF team to update and make changes to their own material as they require.

Clutha Health First now have a clean, fresh brand that better represents the organisation, and is functional across all aspects of the organisation.
